The Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA) is a museum located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. It houses the collection of Eduardo F. Costantini, president of the foundation that bears his name, which founded and maintains the space dedicated to the arts.
As specified in its mission, MALBA is a space for the collection, conservation, study and dissemination of Latin American art from the early twentieth century to the present.
The Museum's collection is especially rich in works by the first Latin American avant-garde, twentieth-century Argentine art, and works by modern and contemporary Latin American artists, not associated with the indigenous current promoted by Mexican muralism in America.
It is one of the most modern museums in Buenos Aires. It houses the Costantini collection: more than 200 pieces (paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs and objects) of Latin American artists of the twentieth century.
In the museum there is a cinema, a cafe, a gift shop and a bookstore.
