It is placed on a platform in stone, with three circular steps, on which the stem consists of two stones, and presenting at the top a truncated cone with a sphere on top, both in stone.
Paialvo, was once a county seat (until 1836) and its pillory is the proof of the old municipal power of the village.
The Pelourinho of Paialvo located in the place of Paialvo, parish of Paialvo, municipality of Tomar.
It is currently classified as Property of Public Interest by IPPAR, since 1933.
