The Church would be part of a primitive pre-Romanesque or even pre-Romanesque Monastery, now disappeared.
The Church of Águas Santas or Nossa Senhora do Ó Church is located in the parish of Águas Santas, municipality of Maia.
It is a rare example of Romanesque art, classified as a National Monument since 1910.
