Built by Federico Page and inaugurated on September 13, 1911. Its name comes from the Church of the Holy Spirit, which was located in front of Victoria Square and was demolished after the 1906 earthquake.
The Espiritu Santo Elevator is located in the central Aldunate street, one block towards the hill from Plaza Victoria and parallel to Condell street.
Within the same street where it is located, this elevator does not seem to have a great urban presence, due to its small and almost hidden access behind the tall buildings that surround the main square of Valparaíso; however, its vertical plot and its upper station They are present at a further distance, for example from Plaza Victoria itself or from Calle Condell.
Meanwhile, as it approaches its lower station, its vertical pattern is disappearing, only a small opening behind a wall, which leads to the station, a gate as if it were the entrance to a house separates it from the street, and then an outside corridor and a stairway point the way to the cars going up and down.
Inaugurated in 1911, this elevator communicates with one of the urban landmarks of Valparaíso, such as the so-called Open Sky Museum, a beautiful and colorful neighborhood, full of houses and streets typical of the Buenos Aires hills, with wide walks that provide a Privileged view of the central sector of the city and of course the bay that bathes the port. Although somewhat deteriorated, since Aldunate street has a garage and warehouse type use, in addition to the back parts of the buildings that surround Condell Street, it is It is an easily accessible area and finding the location of this lift is relatively easy since, like many others, it has a sign that announces its position.

By bus
The trip takes 1 hour 45 minutes from Santiago. Existing departures with a frequency of 15 minutes, the bus companies offer a good level of service and comfort.
By car
For those who wish to arrive by car from Santiago, they should take Route 68, the estimated travel time being 1 hour and 30 minutes.
At the top, your arrival is at a typical Cerro Bellavista street, Rudolph Street, where you can start the tour of this picturesque neighborhood.
