The Ferienhaus Elvira is located in Altenfeld which is situated in an upland valley of the Thuringian Forest close to the Rennsteig, a famous ridgeway hiking trail.
The self catering accommodation has 1 bedroom with one double bed and one single bed. The living room is complete with a TV and satellite channels. The fully equipped kitchen includes a hearth, microwave and refrigerator.
This solidly constructed holiday house is set among forests and hills, the garden and a small terrace have garden furniture and a grill. A spiral staircase connects the upstairs and downstairs of this two floored house.
The region offers a wide range of recreation options for all ages. In the village there is a swimming pool in a forest setting, complete with a sunbathing meadow and a snack bar. There is also a bowling alley, a private jukebox museum, a glass museum and well-marked hiking trails with beautiful views. In the winter months. there is a ski lift with ski rental as well as groomed cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails.
