It is a large menir, 3.5 m high, bearing in the upper third a decoration composed by a staff and a band of wavy lines.
The Menir dos Almendres is a megalithic monument that is situated in the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Évora municipality, Évora District, Portugal.
It is located on a hillside 1.3 km northeast of Cromeleque dos Almendres, presenting itself isolated from this. Archaeologists think the two monuments are related.
In general terms, a Menir is a prehistoric stone monument, staked vertically on the ground, usually of a very high dimension.
