This tourist center is located on the western slope of the Achala summit, the central cordon of the Córdoba mountains. Streams, springs and waterfalls, together with abundant vegetation, give the place a unique beauty. This traslasierra area joins the city of Córdoba through the spectacular high peaks road, which crosses the Achala pampas.
Its main natural attractions are the Panaholma rivers with warm semi-thermal waters with healing qualities and the Mina Clavero with cold waters, which gives rise to many picturesque spas. Downstream, on the border with Villa Cura Brochero, both come together giving birth to the Río de los Sauces, the most important in the Traslasierra Valley, with wide beaches of fine and warm sand that follow one another along its entire course until it empties in the La Viña Reservoir.
In terms of its cultural attractions, the crafts stand out, such as black ceramics, pottery, sheep wool yarns and fabrics, carob wood, palm, cane, horn and leather, as well as an important tradition of gastronomic products. artisanal, such as sweets and alfajores.
Today Mina Clavero has a varied receptive equipment: hotels, residential, summer homes, varied gastronomy, discos, casino, games rooms; besides having an attractive commercial center.

Central Spa

Los Cajones and The Elephants Spa
Los Cajones is located on the Los Sauces riverbed, a site of rapids and deep pots. At the end of the caissons, where the basin opens, a rock formation appears on both sides that resembles the figure of two elephants through which the water flows forming a small waterfall.
This last site is chosen by families and young people, since it has waters with deep pots, ideal for swimming.
Comechingón Museum
Here various objects such as projectile points, funeral urns, archaeological remains, necklaces and ceramics are exhibited. All these pieces belong to the pre-Columbian cultures that populated the region 8000 years ago. Of special importance are the pieces of the Ayampitín culture. The museum also has a parallel mineralogy exhibition, and a shop that sells handicrafts made of ceramics and baked in a clay oven, with designs taken from cave paintings.
Southern Cross Stone Museum
The museum presents a collection of minerals and fossil remains. Among the exhibited pieces are the replica of the world's largest spider fossil, semi-precious stones, hydrolytes, rock crystals, amethysts, floating stones and fossil remains of fish and plants. They also sell crafts from the area, many made with quartz crystals and other rocks.

In the Dam Embalse Ing. A. M. Allende (La Viña) various water sports are practiced.

Cerro Los Gigantes 2374 m.s.n.m., allows all types of climbing, except ice, so it is intensively used by mountaineers. Near its top, the Club Andino Córdoba has a refuge with capacity for 20 hikers.
The Pampa de Achala and the rest of the large Sierras have various ascents for the practice of this activity.
Paragliding
A small hamlet on the Los Sauces River is a meeting point for paragliding fans, as it has a launching platform through which they descend towards the Bath of the Gods, a natural spa on the Mina Clavero River.
Fishing
This sport can be practiced in almost all artificial rivers and lakes in the mountain area.
The predominant species is the silverside, although we also find carp, black catfish, perch, tarariras and toothy.
In mountain streams above 1500 m.a.s.l. and in some reservoirs we can find trout.
Flora and Fauna Sighting
There are various possibilities for observing flora and fauna in the region.
Plant species ranging from carob trees to tobacco trees and mountain ferns, and the condors in the Quebrada del Condorito National Park.
