A staircase leads to the temple. To the center 2 doors with staves of barred window - upper floor and cylindrical tower. In the south cunhal, cylindrical buttress of floors surmounted by a sphere. Temple of a single nave, rectangular plan vaulted of cradle divided by sections based on a protruding cornice.
The patron saint of the village is to the left, on a corsage the 17th century image of the archangel Saint Michael and Our Lady of the Visitation in wood upholstered with silver crown. Of note is a frontal of 7 x 16 tiles with birds and branches and in the center the image of N. Sra. Do Rosário. Arc de Triomphe, perfect back, fully lined with sixteenth - century polychrome tiles that form the walls and vaulted ceiling of the. The front of the main chapel is also in tiles identical to that of the altar of the Matriz church in Cuba. Retable in polychrome carving, baroque and closed niche with curtains, crucified Christ. In the sacristy the wooden bows are of real value.
Located in Praça da Republica in Vila Alva, it is a temple of the 18th century. XVII and XVIII.
It is not known for certain the date of its foundation, presumably that it goes back to the beginnings of Average Age. It is known that it already existed in the century. XVI. The bell tower and the cylindrical buttresses resemble the Alentejo Arab buildings, which leads one to believe that it belonged to an earlier Arab building and later transformed into a Christian church.
