Vilamoura
Vilamoura is the largest tourist luxury complex in Europe. It is located in the Algarve (municipality of Loulé, parish of Quarteira, belonging to this). It has a marina, a golf academy and five golf courses, a casino, several discotheques, a tennis club, a diving club, other leisure facilities, an extensive beach, and dozens of 4 and 5 star hotels.
Started in the 1960s, Vilamoura has an area of 1600 hectares. The architectural project develops around the marina, and includes hundreds of villas distributed in the residential area, and other ventures dedicated almost exclusively to tourism.
In the area of Vilamoura are located the Roman ruins of Cerro da Vila, where it is possible to see a complex of baths and the mosaics of a residence representing fish.

Every morning, boats arrive with fish and fish, which is then prepared by the Algarves in the immense restaurants spread all over the Algarve. The most popular dishes are fish soups, octopus rice, fish stew, açorda and seafood cataplana.
In the Algarve interior from the beans to the chicken with cherries and the stew of grain, all the dishes of the interior have a typically rural flavor.
